Instructions
- Remove the bags of substrate, the seeds, the markers, and the instructions from the box.
- Place and level all the substrate in the box. Spray with water until it is damp. Divide and mark the substrate into 3 equal areas.
- Open the seed packets (do not pour all the seeds out) and spread one teaspoon of arugula seeds, one teaspoon of watercress, and two teaspoons of radish seeds over the substrate, in the defined areas and evenly (there's no need to bury the seeds).
- Spray over the seeds until they are damp.
- Cover the box with plastic to create a greenhouse effect. Place it in a warm, dark location (for example, inside a cabinet) for 3 days. Spray daily to prevent the substrate from drying out.
- You should spray or water every day until the substrate is well damp. After the 5th day, you should increase the watering by adding more quantity or watering more times a day.
- After 10 to 15 days, the microgreens can be harvested. Use scissors to cut just above the substrate.
- They should be washed and can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days.
Cuidados e Dicas
- The seeds are germinating but with a yellowish hue
Don't worry, as this is normal when they are germinating in the dark. Once they are exposed to natural light, they will quickly turn green.
- My vegetables are wilting and drooping
If the vegetables are drooping, it may indicate a lack of water or direct sun exposure. When the vegetables start to grow, you can water directly onto the substrate or mist them more than once a day. Remember, you should not place microgreens in direct sunlight.
- Can I re-sow in the same substrate after harvesting?
Yes, just remove some roots and mix the substrate. You can always add another type of substrate.
- How often should I water?
Use a spray bottle and water once a day until the substrate is well-moistened. From the 5th day and on hotter days, you should mist very well at least twice a day.
- Where should I cut the microgreens?
Use scissors and cut just above the substrate. You can eat the leaves and stems.
